WHAT WE DO

At Historically themed events, we Display as a ROMAN Army small encampment, this will ordinarily include in our enclosure  a CONTABERNIUM  this is an eight man tent where soldiers of the unit slept, also a cooking area and display table showing some foods and tableware . Beside this we have our  protective awning, where one can see our Senator  awaiting your audience.
Various Soldiers and equipment can also be seen within this area. These members will gladly answer any questions you may have regarding the history of ROME, the weapons, armour, clothing, diet  etc. 
Usually we will have two formal talks and some re-enactment of Drill, and  Religious  Ceremony , these happen at set times throughout the event.

ROMANS IRELAND IS ONE OF THE PREMIER RE-ENACTMENT GROUPS IN IRELAND

The wonderful history of ROME is the basis on which most if not all of western Democracy is founded. In all our cultures one can find to this day practices and laws which have their foundation in the ROMAN state whether in its early Republican or later Imperial form. Even in IRELAND where ROME only had an influential effect in the early period, later  through the influence of the ROMAN Catholic Faith/ church one can find many connections to ROME.
Ireland of course through the many episodes of inclusion in the Norman/British periods acquired many of the foundations of laws of  governance and practices, and of course these laws often had their previous foundations in ROMAN law .
​Therefore to this day we have absorbed many ,many aspects of ROME.
